Course Objectives:
Introduction and training with selected groups of igneous rocks-depending of the candidate interest.
Learning Outcomes:
qualifying for detailed field-work as well as for the desk-jobs (macroscopic and microscopic determination of rocks), interpretation of geochemical data, and geotectonic setting of the given rock specimens.
Content:

Theory teaching
Introduction notes on distinct group of rocks. Varieties. Genesis and geochemistry. examples from Serbia.

Practical teaching
Microscopic determination of rocks (type of rock and its indicative minerals and fabric).Creation of classification diagrams and their interpretation.
Suggested Reading List:
  1. Biće određena zavisno od interesovanja kandidata.
Conduct of the Course:
Classic lectures followed by audio-visual methods and obligatory use of microscope. Consultations.
