Study program:
Geophysics (IX semester -MsC) |
Name of subject: Processing and Interpretation of Seismic Signals |
Instructors:
Prof. Dragana Đurić |
Status: Optional |
ECTS: 5 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge in the field of processing and interpretation of refractive and reflective seismic data and elaboration. The aim is also to understand the possibilities and limitations of the seismic process in order to define the layers with different velocities. |
Learning Outcomes: The outcome of the course is the acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for the application of appropriate mathematical transformations in the processing and interpretation of seismic data. The student is able to independently process and interpret seismic data using different software packages. |
Content:
Theory teaching Spectrum analysis. Vector analysis. Phase analysis. Error distribution. Random processes. Reducing the effects of noise. Formation of two-dimensional views. Processing of seismic data. Modeling of wave processes. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional modeling. Migration. Interpretation of results (seismic section). Practical teaching Practical and calculating exercises. Migration. Getting to know the field work. Work in the center for processing and interpretation. |
