Course Objectives:
The aim of the course is to master the procedures for preparing complex geophysical research projects, mastering the right choice of geophysical methods for the given problem, and developing the skill of performing cost-effective and adequate geophysical research. The aim is to unify and upgrade knowledge acquired through other geophysical and geological objects, with an emphasis on different possible solutions in order to solve specific problems. |

Content:
Theory teaching
Overview of the attended geophysical research methods. Areas of application of geophysical research. Defining the problem that is being solved. Dimensions of the exploration area, regional, detailed and microplane geophysical researches; choice of density of measurements, distance between profiles, measurement step, selection of measuring instrument, orientation of the array, dimensions of the array. The investor-designer-contractor relationship. Terms of reference. Designing of geophysical researches. Trial researches. Defining an optimal methodology of geophysical researches - a scientific and economic aspect. Offers for performing geophysical researches. Performing geophysical researches, mobilization and team composition, dynamics and efficiency of researches, supervision of gerophysical researches. Reports preparation on performed geophysical researches. Proposal for additional research. Questions which the geophysicist should answer to the management. Practical teaching

Lectures and exercises are carried out using computer presentations, which are accessible to students and makes the learning process easier. Exercises follow lectures, which provide better understanding and mastering the matter. |
