Content:
Theory teaching Fluid flow. Viscous fluid. Navier - Stokes equations. Equation of continuity. Streamlines and velocity fields.
Stability of Floating Bodies. Potential fluid flow. Real fluid flow. Bernoulli equation for compressible fluids. Kinematic and dynamic viscosity. Coefficient of compressibility and fluid compressibility modulus (Bulk modulus). Conservation of momentum for the fluid. Euler equations. Effect of gravity force on incompressible fluid flow. Basic equation of fluid statics. Fluid pressure on the surface of a body immersed in the fluid. Lagrange’s theorem and Helmholtz’s theorem. Vortex flow. Pascal’s hydrostatic paradox. Center of pressure. Effect of gravity force on compressible fluid flow. |
