Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to further develop modern scientific terminology as well as developing English language comprehension skills, translation and formal writing. |
Learning Outcomes: The outcome of the course is enabling students to use English independently and creatively in the translation of scientific papers and writing their own materials in the form of shorter texts. |
Content:
Theory teaching Introduction to basic morphological and syntactic structures and vocabulary which is most frequent in their area of expertise. This is done based on simple, selected, authentic texts as well as basic communicative functions in writing and speech. Practical teaching Practical lessons are interwoven with lectures and are focussed on the written and oral practice of individual thematic areas. |
