Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide English language learning continuity as well as to further develop communicative competences in English. |
Learning Outcomes: The outcome of the course is to enable students to successfully read and utilise domain and scientific sources in order to further their professional development and to be able to keep up to date with current developments in their field of study, realise professional communication with international partners, be they native speakers of English or not. |
Content:
Theory teaching Introduction to basic morphological and syntactic structures and vocabulary which is most frequent in their area of expertise. This is done based on simple, selected, authentic texts as well as basic communicative functions in writing and speech. Practical teaching Practical lessons are interwoven with lectures and are focussed on the written and oral practice of individual thematic areas. |
