Course Objectives:
Transportation in mines is one of the most important stages in the exploration of mineral resources. The highest costs in the entire process of obtaining a beneficial substance arise during transport. The aim of this course is to study the basic principles of underground transport and export of mineral raw materials as well as transportation means and devices used for transport and export in the underground exploitation of deposits of mineral raw materials. |
Learning Outcomes:
Practical application of methodologies for the selection and dimensioning of transport means in mines with underground exploitation of deposits of mineral raw materials. After completing this course, and using other skills in mining, students are able to deal with the above issues in business, design and scientific research organizations. |
Content:
Theory teaching
Within this course, the basic principles and specificities of transport in the underground exploitation of mineral deposits will be processed. The problem that is being studied in this course includes: BASIC PRINCIPLES OF TRANSPORT IN MINORS: Classification of transport means, Material properties being transported, Material flow in mines. TRANSPORT IN CUTTING AND IN OCCUPATIONAL FACILITIES: Gravel conveyors, Screwdrivers, Loading and transporting means with and without crates for material, Gravitation transport. TRANSPORT IN MAIN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES: Belt conveyors, Railway transport, Self-propelled vehicles (cave trucks), Hydraulic and pneumatic transport. ADDITIONAL FACILITIES, MEANS AND DEVICES IN MINING TRANSPORT: Bunkers, auxiliary means and devices. SUPPLEMENT OF REPROMATERIAL AND TRANSPORT OF WORKERS IN MINORS: Types of raw materials and the way of their delivery from the surface, Transport means for the delivery of raw materials to the floor of the room, Delivery of raw material by hanging vehicles, Delivery of explosive devices, Transport of workers by means of transport means by the floor, Transport of workers by hanging means and the passage of workers to the windows of the mine. EXPORTS OF OUTDOOR MINES: Characteristics of export facilities, Export kinematics, Export plant equipment, Facilities and devices of export plant. MINING EXTERIOR TRANSPORT: Exterior transport of conveyors with belts, trucks and rail. Practical teaching
Rakers conveyors - Dimensioning and selection. Conveyors with tape - Dimensioning and adoption. Locomotive transport - Selection and budget. Truck transport - dimensioning and adoption. Export plants - Export kinematics, disposition and geometry of the export plant. Practical exercises students will master the dimensioning of transport means using the appropriate software - Helix. |
