Course Objectives: Introduction to the basic concepts in the field of industrial and scientific metrology, standardization and quality control. |
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of actual metrology and standardization. Understanding the physical principles on which the physical quantities etalons are designed and realized. Mastering modern principles, methods and instruments of measurement. |
Content:
Theory teaching Introduction to metrology; International system of units; Industrial and scientific metrology; Standardization of dimensions and measurement units; Measurement standards; International Organization for Standardization; National Metrology Institutions; Role of certified and accredited laboratories in the quality system; Measuring instruments calibration, testing and control; Legal metrology. Practical teaching Measuring transducers and sensors - practical application. Pactical excersises that follow the contents of theoretical lessons. |
