Course Objectives:
Part of this course is dedicated to introduce students with the basics of water regime of surface waters (average, small and high water) as well as water balance. In this part of the course, the focus is on hydrology of different geological environments. The second part of the course is dedicated to familiarizing students with the basics of applied statistics and probability in hydrogeology as well as correlation and regression. |
Learning Outcomes:
Mastering students with calculations related to water budget and from forecasts of the water regime of surface water and groundwater and statistical data processing for different needs in hydrogeology |
Content:
Theory teaching
Theoretical part: instruction, the regime of surface waters, average, small and high waters and their determination on hydrologically studied, partially studied and unstudied watercourses, hydrometeorological quantities as random variables, distribution functions, empirical distribution, homogeneity of hydrological/hydrogeological series, testing of the adjustment of theoretical and empirical distribution functions, correlation and regression. Practical teaching
Practical part during course completely follow the theoretical part of lectures. They are designed on a way how to theoretical part of the course look in practices, and they are follow specific field from theoretical part of lectures |
