Course Objectives: Getting to know different genetic types of Palaeozoic and Mesozoic deposits in the territory of Serbia and their importance for palaeoevironmental reconstruction. |
Learning Outcomes: Clear defining of lithological-palaeontological and structural characteristics of every genetic category of Palaeozoic and Mesozoic deposits and possibility of their further correlation with surrounding areas. |
Content:
Theory teaching Application of appropriate methods in the investigation of Palaeozoics structures. Structural characteristics, mineral petroleum and facial composition of metamorphic complexes of the terrain of Serbia. Methods for determining the age of metamorphic formations. Creation of different types of auxiliary maps for paleogeographical conclusions. Genetic types of Mesozoic deposits and selection of appropriate methods for the reconstruction of the paleosredine of Mesozoic formations. Methods in the reconstruction of carbonate formations. Methods in the reconstruction of non-carbonate formations.
Reconstruction of the climate and the influence of climatic factors, physical and geographical conditions and tectonic movements on the diversity of formations in the territory of Serbia. Paleogeographic maps and methods of production. |
