Course Objectives: Getting to know the methods and different ways of palaeogeographic reconstructions of Quaternary deposits in the area of Serbia. |
Learning Outcomes: Getting to know lithological-palaeontological characteristics of different genetic categories of Quaternary deposits in the area of Serbia and possibility of their palaeogeographic recnstructions. |
Content:
Theory teaching Distribution of Quaternary deposits in the territory of Serbia. Types of Quaternary deposits in Serbia. Influence of different physical and geographical conditions on the diversity of Quaternary deposits in Serbia. Palaeogeographical reconstruction of glacial processes in Serbia. Palaeogeographical reconstructions of Quaternary pre-loess formations in the area of the Pannonian and Peri-Pannonian areas. Palaeogeographical reconstruction of loess and holocene structures in the area of the Pannonian and Peri-Pannonian areas. Palaeogeographical reconstruction of Quaternary structures of river valley systems of central and southern Serbia. |
