Course Objectives: Candidates will in this course to expand and upgrade their knowledge and skills in the sediments of rocks or special sections according to the chosen direction dissertation. This is particularly relevant for candidates that are not on the primary or master listened studies related courses sedimentary rocks. |
Learning Outcomes: Candidates will be over this course specialize in one type of rocks or a group that is of interest primarily for the dissertation. |
Content:
Theory teaching Petrology of sedimentary rocks is a course where the study mechanisms that lead to the creation of sedimentary rocks such as processes of decomposition of rocks on the surface, transport decomposed materials, sedimentation and diagenesis. Then, the modern scheme of clastic, organogenic and chemical sedimentary rocks as well as structural and textural characteristics. Practical teaching Practical work related to a wide range of selected chapter. Field and laboratory methods. |
