Course Objectives: Application of the procedure for defining optical properties of different crystalline substances with emphasis on minerals. |
Learning Outcomes: Determination and correlation of optical and geometric elements of anisotropic crystals using a polarization microscope and a universal rotary table. |
Content:
Theory teaching Optical properties of crystals. Optical Indicatris. The history of the application of optical crystallography. Methods of optical crystallography. Polarization microscope. Theodolite microscopy. Analysis of optical constants using new methods in crystallo-optical. |
