Course Objectives:
Familiarizing the students with the geotechnical conditions of constructing specific object types on the field. |
Learning Outcomes:
Enabling the students for solving geotechnical problems in construction of various objects. |
Content:
Practical teaching
Visiting the construction sites across Serbia, where various engineering works are on-going in the given school year - familiarizing the students with geotechnical conditions of object construction: - geotechnical conditions for foundation pits, - geotechnical conditions for road cuts and embankment engineering, - geotechnical conditions for tunneling, - geotechnical conditions for bridge construction, geotechnical conditions for dam construction, geotechnical conditions for pipeline construction, geotechnical conditions for remediation of unstable terrains, geotechnical conditions for exploitation of the solid non-metallic mineral deposits, etc. Students are instructed to keep the field log during the field work, which is daily checked by the teacher. |
