Theory teaching Fundamentals in Remote sensing, satellite sensors and specifications. Digital satellite images (Landsat, Aster, QuickBird, Ikonos...). Software for satellite images processing (TNT-mips, ArcGIS, Envi...). Radiometric and geometric correction, georectification and orthorectification of satellite images. Procedures for improvement image quality, special and spectral enhancements. Supervised and unsupervised classifications, band ratios, NDVI and other remote sensing indexes of satellite images. Analysis and interpretation of results. Production of thematic maps based on the processed satellite images. Practical teaching Usage of remote sensing software (TNT-mips, ArcGIS, Envi...). Manipulation with different bands and raster formats, spatial and spectral enhancement, raster resolution, georeferencing, band ratios... Techniques for improvement of satellite image quality for visual interpretation. Analysis of digital satellite images. Use of hyperspectral tools in analysis of multispectral images. Application of different image classifications and analysis of achieved results and presentation in ArcGIS. Individual student works (seminar work) related to the field of research in PhD thesis. |
