Course Objectives: Studying the method of descriptive geometry for uniquely representation of three-dimensional objects in the plane.
Analysis, construction and discussion of problems from the geological profession, suitable for solving using the method of descriptive geometry. |
Learning Outcomes: The result of the course is a student’s ability to apply descriptive geometry methods to solve a specific problems of his profession. |
Content:
Theory teaching Projection. Perspective-collinear mapping. Normal Projection. Transformation. Rotation. Intersection of the surfaces. Axonometry. Central projection. Elevated projection. Examples from the geological profession. Practical teaching Perspective-collinear mapping. Orthogonal projection (examples). Positioning and metric problems. Intersection between the surfaces. Axonometry. Central projection. Elevated projection. Block diagram of the soil layer. Straight horizontal and inclined road.
Horizontal and inclined road on circular arc. Cross-section of a roads and terrain. Application of the method of horizontals and cross-sectional methods. |
