Name of subject: Sedimentology B |
Instructors:
Dr Violeta Gajić |
Status: Optional |
ECTS: 5 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Students through this specialized course study the textural characteristics of the sedimentary rocks and depositional systems. |
Learning Outcomes: Upgrade knowledge of sedimentary rocks with the volume of appropriate practical implementation of the respective study program. |
Content:
Theory teaching Lectures apply to the study of the textural characteristics of sedimentary rock (mechanical, chemical and organogenic) and introduction to the current classification of sedimentary rocks. Depositional systems are studied and creation sedimentary rocks (continental, transitional and marine), lithofacies maps, sedimentological models basin and production of lithologic columns. Practical teaching In exercises with emphasis on the study of texture through appropriate genetic collections of rocks, making the practical lithologic and lithostratigraphic columns and lithofacies cards. |
