Hidrogeology (VII semester -BsC) Petroleum Engineering (VII semester -BsC) Petroleum exploitation process (VII semester -BsC) |
Name of subject: Geothermal Energy |
Instructors:
Prof. Dejan Milenić, Prof. Ana Vranješ |
Status: Optional |
ECTS: 4 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Introduction into the field of renewable energy utilization in concept of energy efficiency increasing and fossil fuel substitution by renewables in 21. Century. Giving the knowledge about basic geothermal subjects, research developing of the geothermal heat and resources and introduction into basic physical and thermodynamical geothermal heat transfer. Introduction into calculation methods in filed of geothermal resource transfer and geothermal energy quantification, focused on hydrogeological aquifers and geological and hydrogeological parameters influence on geothermal heat transfer as well. Learning about the possibilities of subgeothermal resources utilization and possible methods for heat pumps usage. |
Learning Outcomes: Educational contribution: skills developing as induction cogitation in case of interaction between basic thermodynamics laws and geology of Earth crust; implementation on simple and complex interpretation of previous geological and hydrogeological investigation in geothermal purposes; building of preliminary hydrogeothermal model, geothermal heat flow and temperature filed interpretation as well. Students independent work skills on conclusions on geothermal data analysis in interaction with others geological and hydrogeological data. |
Content:
