Study program:
Mine Mechanization (IX semester -MsC) Petroleum Engineering (IX semester -MsC) |
Name of subject: Technical Diagnostics |
Instructors:
Prof. Predrag Jovančić |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 6 |
Prerequisites: Completion of undergraduate studies. |
Course Objectives: Introduction to the concept, place and role of technical diagnostics in the management and control of technical systems in mining and energy. Modern methodological science, related to technical and technological achievements. Technical diagnostics as an integral part of the maintenance process should determine the condition of the system with a certain accuracy and at a certain point in time. The aim is to familiarize students with systemic learning and easier identification of systemic problems, or how to assess the state of and behavior of the technical system in order to improve the working ability of technical systems. |
Learning Outcomes: Passed the exam, with active knowledge. Competence for responsible behavior in the exploitation and maintenance of mining and energy equipment. After successfully mastered obligations, each student should understand and know the place and importance of technical diagnostics and its methods, so that he can assess the state and behavior of the technical system based on the measured parameters, in order to improve the working ability of the technical systems. |
Content:
Theory teaching Strategy of equipment management - implementation of maintenance of technical systems in mining and energy. Basic elements of technical diagnostics. Visual optical testing; Temperature measurement procedure: infrared thermography - thermovision; Flow measurement procedure; Extensometric method - electric resistance measuring strips; Speed measurement and acceleration measurement; Measuring force procedure; Hardness measurement method; The process of controlling the products of wear and tear - the basic postulates of tribology; Method of controlling the wear and combustion products - methods of diagnosing tribological systems; Vibration as a parameter of the technical state of the system; Rolling bearer control procedures; Magnetic Control Procedures - Magnetic Tests; Penetration procedure; Ultrasonic testing; Radiographic testing; Corrosion test procedure; Other procedures; Expert systems in technical diagnostics. Practical teaching At the exercises, students take three colloquiums. Students have the right to take a colloquium only once. There is only one correctional colloquium at the end of the semester. For the remaining hours of the exercises, examples of practice are being worked out. The exercises will use the ability to use exact data from measurements on real systems from practice. The labs show the elements that are being studied, as well as the experiments, in accordance with the existing equipment (vibration and noise measurement, thermovision, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, etc.). |

Conduct of the Course: Teaching is carried out through lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, using modern teaching tools. Throughout the study case, examples from the field of mining and energy are processed through the case study, which provides a wide range of practical technical knowledge for independent work in the field of technical diagnostics. The most advanced measuring equipment and software are used for performing exercises. |
