Study program:
Mining Engineering (IV semester -PhD) |
Name of subject: Statics and Dynamics of Mining Machines |
Instructors:
Prof. Predrag Jovančić |
Status: Optional |
ECTS: 10 |
Prerequisites: Completed Master Academic Studies. |
Course Objectives: The dynamics of mining machines basically aims to introduce students to doctoral studies with this professional-applicative subject and their better and better recognition of problems in the operation and maintenance of mining machines. Consequently, designing and constructing mining machines with this object gets more important. |
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring the necessary theoretical and active practical knowledge, in terms of the static and dynamic condition and behavior of mining machines in the process of exploitation. Qualification for professional and responsible management in the exploitation of mining machinery, design of mining machinery, mining machinery maintenance. |
Content:
Theory teaching Analysis of the construction of mining machines from the point of view of the calculation. Analysis of working conditions and loads. Determination of reduced stiffness and mass of structural elements of mining machines. Basic principles of mathematical modeling and analysis of structural elements of mining machines. Static models of the calculation of elements, substructure and structure of the mining machine. Dynamic models of the calculation of elements, substructures and structures of the mining machine. Static calculation and analysis of displacement and tension of elements, substructure and structure of the mining machine. Dynamic calculation and analysis of own oscillations of elements, substructure and structure of the mining machine. Determining the forms of forced dynamic load. Determination of damping in the mining machinery technical system. Dynamic loads of the machine construction in case of sudden changes in the conditions of its operation (acceleration, braking, stopping, cessation of workload, etc.). Analysis of the influence of wind during machine operation, in standstill and in overhaul position. Determination of the load case of the machine construction with the presence of various combinations of wind. Description and application of standards, regulations and recommendations related to mining machinery. An example of static and dynamic analysis of the construction elements of the excavator. An example of static and dynamic analysis of the elements of the construction of the stacker. An example of static and dynamic analysis of the structural elements of the conveyor. Practical teaching Expert study and research work with IT support and software packages. Discussion of completed projects in the field and self-definition of seminar paper proposals. Discussion on selected scientific papers in the field of statics and the dynamics of mining machines. Work on preparation of oral presentation of seminar papers, performances and comments. |
