Study program:
Underground Mining of Mineral Deposits (IX semester -MsC) |
Name of subject: Parameter Optimization of Underground Mining Methods 1 |
Instructors:
Prof. Branko Gluščević, Prof. Čedomir Beljić |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 6 |
Prerequisites: Technology of underground exploitation of coal deposits, Methods of Underground Exploitation |
Course Objectives: Students acquire knowledge about the scientific methods, techniques and tools necessary for an exact, scientifically based basis, for an optimal choice of machines and devices for mechanized digging techniques with short-wall methods. Likewise, the goal is to present methods for monitoring and analyzing the flow of the excavation process in order to rationalize and improve the technical and economic parameters of the excavation. |
Learning Outcomes: Theoretical and expert knowledge necessary for studying the subsystem of excavation in the mine system as a production and organizational environment. |
Content:
Theory teaching Methods of short-wall excavation are currently applied in all coal mines with underground exploitation in Serbia. Technological digging processes are semi-mechanized. This is one of the main causes of unsatisfactory technical and economic parameters of production. Therefore, as a solution for the improvement of production, the introduction of mechanization into all stages of the technological process of excavation. The introduction of mechanization necessarily requires prior study of exploitation conditions, selection of appropriate technical solutions and organization. On this basis, the process of optimizing the constructive digging parameters is performed in the function of the most favorable technical and economic effects. Practical teaching Exercises follow the method units from the lectures. |
