Achieved 300 ECTS points at basic and master academic studies

The university education system in the Republic of Serbia does not envisage continuation of studies after the finished doctoral academic studies.

Ph. D. in Geo-sciencesThe students who have successfully finished this study programme are able to do the following in the area of geology:

»	Systematically apply and demonstrate the knowledge in the area of geo-sciences in whole,
»	Organise and conduct complex research in the area of various geological specialisations: neo-tectonic and erosion problems, palinspastic reconstructions, reconstruction of living world and paleo-ecosystem development directed towards better understanding of bio-sphere vitality in general, examination of crystal matter state, setting the age and genesis of various rock formations, solving the issues of geo-hazards and other risks of geological risks, solving the problems of environmental protection, as well as studying the origin, manner of prospection, exploitation and preservation of mineral resources
»	Use and actively apply in practice the newest findings in the area of geology and related disciplines,
»	Develop their creative abilities, independently set, organise and run scientific research,
»	Respect ethical codices during scientific research,
»	Own a satisfactory level of written and oral communication and individual presentation and communicating of the achieved scientific results at domestic and international scientific conferences and publish their results in the leading scientific journals,
»	Independently solve complex practical and theoretic problems in the area of geological specialisations covered by the content of corresponding optional variants during studies and organise independently or collectively the suggestions for developmental or scientific research in these specialisations with domestic and foreign scientific funds,
»	Participate in or manage domestic and international scientific projects financed from various funds,
»	Actively work on improving international scientific cooperation and on raising the reputation of their country
»	Transfer the acquired scientific knowledge to the colleagues in their own environment and affirm their native scientific area and its achievements.
