Conditions for enrolment

Finished high school education in a four years period and passed entrance exam.

Study programme objectives

»	Acquiring of basic scientific and professional knowledge in the area of research and use of underground waters;
»	Creating the possibility for continuation of education at a higher level of studies;
»	Providing acquisition of knowledge for independent professional engineering activity in the field of hydrogeology;
»	Development of ability for creative solving of practical professional problems;
»	Qualifying for team and multi-disciplinary work and presentation of results;
»	Acquiring of habits for permanent improvement and adoption of technological innovations in hydrogeology and related disciplines.

A degree holder may enrol in master academic studies.

Professional status

B. Sc. in GeologyThe students who have successfully finished this study programme are able to do the following in the area of hydrogeology:

»	Understand and apply fundamental hydrogeology knowledge;
»	Perceive, formulate, and solve engineering problems;
»	Perform the entrusted tasks and jobs, both independently and in a team;
»	Use techniques, skills and contemporary programme tools and software in the engineering practice;
»	Design basic and detailed hydro-geological research of underground waters and geothermal energy;
»	Create hydro-geological and specific maps in the area of hydrogeology;
»	Draft the elaborates for assessment of underground water resources, opening and expanding of the sources of underground water and geothermal energy, protection of underground waters and protection from underground waters, production of underground natural and mineral waters;
»	Improve their knowledge and follow the development of new technologies during professional career.
