Prerequisites: No requirements.

Course Objectives: Introduction to basics of Statics and Strength of Materials.

Learning Outcomes: After taking this course, students will be trained to solve problems related to Statics and Strength of Materials, that occur in their fields of research.


Theory teaching
Statics 1.Forces and Constraints, 2.Moment of a Force, 3.Conditions of Equilibrium, 4.The Center of the Mass of Homogeneous Bodies, 5.Beams; Strength of Materials 6.Basic concepts of Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, 7. Axial Loading (basics) 8.Geometrical properties of the Cross-Sections, 9. Elements of Stress Theory, 10.Constitutive Equations, 11.Torsion of rods-Circular Cross-Section. 12.Bending, 13. Shear.

Practical teaching
Practical problems in domains covered by theoretical knowledge.
