Selected chapters from shifting underground terrain and protecting objects

Study program:
Mining Engineering (IV semester -PhD)
Name of subject: Selected chapters from shifting underground terrain and protecting objects
Instructors:
Prof. Aleksandar Milutinović
Status: Optional
ECTS: 10
Prerequisites: No condition
Course Objectives:
Expanding the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge from the problem of moving the underground terrain and protecting the objects above mining works, deformations that occur on the surface and on the objects, the construction of protective pillars for natural and technical objects. Application of different methods of forecasting calculation of shuffling and deformation, on the surface of the underground terrain, when excavating the horizontal and inclined layer.
Learning Outcomes:
Theoretical and practical training of candidates for independent solving problems and tasks related to the forecast budget, observing the shifting of the underground terrain, data processing and presentation of deformation of terrains and objects.
Content:

Theory teaching
The content of the course is defined for each candidate separately, and depending on the topic of the doctoral dissertation, from: application of adequate method of forecasting calculation, making of curves and model of field shifting, monitoring of field shifts and deformations on objects, forecasting budget analysis and recorded shifts, criteria for protection, permissible deformation for certain categories of objects, damage to objects and compensation of the owner.

Practical teaching
Preparation of seminar papers containing: solving practical problems of shifting underground terrain and deformation of objects on the surface; construction of protective poles, project of the network for observing the shifting of the underground terrain; processing of measurement data; numerical and graphical presentation of forecast and recorded shifts.
