Life Expectancies of Mining Machinery

Study program:
Mining Engineering (IV semester -PhD)
Name of subject: Life Expectancies of Mining Machinery
Instructors:
Prof. Dragan Ignjatović, Prof. Predrag Jovančić
Status: Optional
ECTS: 10
Prerequisites: -
Course Objectives:
Introducing students with methods of testing, diagnostics of conditions and behavior in order to extend the life of mining machines.
Learning Outcomes:
Mastering the knowledge of methods on methods of testing, diagnostics of the state, methods of estimation of remaining possibilities for the purpose of revitalization and modernization of mining machines.
Content:

Theory teaching
Introduction to the course, way of teaching and taking the exam. Requirements and limitations of application of mining machines in working conditions on surface mines. Terms of exploitation of mining machines, the impact of the working environment on the life-span. Dynamic character of the life cycle of mining machines, maintenance and machine life cycle. Defective Aids (Standards and Test Methods). Structure and decomposition of mining machines in order to assess the situation. Diagnostics of the state and behavior of mining machines. Mathematical models in order to determine the status and priorities of revitalization. Methods based on multi-atributive and multi-criteria analysis with weight factors, Methods based on expert systems (fuzzy logic, neural networks, etc.) Economic models of assessment (static and dynamic analysis). Assessment of the remaining working life.

Practical teaching
Within the framework of the research work will be carried out seminar work related to the diagnostics and assessment of the extension of the life of the mining equipment.
