Selected Topics in the Exploitation of Oil and Gas

Course Objectives:
The objective of the course is to expand the acquired knowledge from basic and graduate academic studies through selected chapters and the realization of the research that is envisaged by the doctoral dissertation.
Learning Outcomes:
To develop the student’s code for the ability of independent scientific research, ability to critically analyze and evaluate results.
Content:

Theory teaching
Depending on the area of the doctor’s dissertation student, the student can choose certain chapters to focus on the desired direction of research. Selected chapters available: Complex production systems. Characteristics of the oil and gas flow in the vertical, hair and horizontal wells. Comparative analysis of oil production from vertical hair and horizontal wells. Multilateral wells and their characteristics. Dynamics of fluid flow through a well. Regulation and control of operation of eruptive oil and gas wells. System analysis of the operation of eruptive oil and gas wells. System analysis of the well (integral field model). Methods of exploitation of oil and gas. Mechanical methods of exploitation. Gaslift (continuous, intermittent, sucker road). Depth pumping on piston rods. Centrifugal pumps.

Practical teaching
Practical classes are conducted within one or more selected chapters that are related to the subject of the doctor’s Dissertation.
