Measuring and Process Management

Course Objectives:
Acquiring theoretical knowledge in the field of process systems management and basic skills necessary for the independent selection of components, measuring and controlling parts of the monitoring and control system.
Learning Outcomes:
Introduction to basic elements that make up the measuring management system and measuring elements basic characteristics.
Content:

Theory teaching
Basic characteristics of process management. Configuration of the management system. The components of a communications system. Data acquisition. Physical principles of the sensor operation. Flow, pressure, level and temperature measuring instruments.

Practical teaching
Examples of instruments for measuring non-electrical quantities, found in mining applications. Measurement simulation.

Conduct of the Course:
Lectures and practical exercises are performed in the classroom, with the presentation of appropriate simulations and video materials, specific for the management of processes in mining.
