Study program:
Petroleum Engineering (X semester -MsC) |
Name of subject: Oil and Gas Well Designing and Drilling |
Instructors:
Prof. Branko Leković |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 6 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Course aims is the acquisition of professional competencies in the design and drilling of deep oil and gas wells, and also competence in higher vocational education. |
Learning Outcomes: After completing the course, students should know the structure of the process of planning and drilling wells. On the basis of the given well data they can make a design of borehole construction, drilling tools, casing, and hydraulic of drilling fluid. |
Content:
Theory teaching Detailed analysis of the technical and technological optimization elements that includes design of oil and gas wells, such as depth of casing, well construction, design cement job, safety equipment at the wellhead, drilling tools. Optimization of drilling parameters and planning of drilling fluid type. Practical teaching Planning of: the depth of casing, borehole construction, hydraulic of drilling fluid, cementing, well control equipment, drilling tools, drilling parameters. |
