Course Objectives:
Introduction to the performance technology and application conditions of geotecnical reclamation method - injection.
Learning Outcomes:
Mastering the method of geotechnical reclamation - by injection, application conditions and work performance technology.
Content:

Theory teaching
Injection; general description of the method, possible effects and application. Injection masses - suspension: composition and properties of raw materials and masses, application. Injection masses - colloidal and real solutions: composition, properties and application. Bitumen, bituminous emulsions and aerated masses: composition, properties and application. Basic injection process models. Injection elements: boreholes, pressure, mode and injection procedures. Investigations for injection design purposes. Determination of injection effects. Injection types: contact, bonding, consolidation, grouted, stressed, compensating; elements, application conditions and effects. Injection of granular media: elements, procedures, application conditions and effects. Injection equipment: for the preparation of masses, for impress, packers. Injection and other types of reclamation measures. Examples of performed works.

Practical teaching
Introduction to laboratory tests of masses and to field works. Analysis of performed reclamation works. Preparation of seminar paper.
